Shipping & Delivery
We do not courier to PO Boxes in New Zealand or internationally.
Please provide a delivery address that isn't a PO Box.
Smith & Western uses Fastway Couriers for shipping. All orders are tracked throughout transit. Once your online order is complete we will email you a payment confirmation and a link that will allow you to track the status of your goods at any time.
We charge a $8 shipping flat rate per courier bag within NZ. This cost covers a tracked courier service. It is in our experience the most efficient way of shipping.
Small/shoebox size parcels up to 2kg cost $10 per box.
Parcels that measure larger than shoebox size and weigh between 2-5kg cost $20. Parcels between 6-10kg cost $30.
Any parcels that exceed 10kg will be charged $12 per extra 5kg. This doesn't often happen unless you are purchasing large homeware.
It is a two-day service for all parcels. Rural delivery will typically take longer.
All orders are processed pending availability and credit verification.
Smith & Western will contact via email if we require additional information for credit verification. Please note that estimated delivery time does not include weekends or Public Holidays. Quite often all courier services run behind schedule for a couple of days after public holidays.
We are happy to ship smaller items internationally and use an excellent service provided by NZ Post. Please note that our shipping rate is a tracked rate. We do not offer an un-tracked rate.
We do not post items exceeding 3kg outside of NZ from our website. You can contact us in-store or via email should you wish to order such items, and we can arrange purchase and shipping in accordance with the cost. Rates are based on size and weight, so we cannot determine a flat rate.
International delivery costs do not include any taxes or duties, which may be applied by customs at the destination country. The responsibility of incurred taxes or duties lie with the customer or delivery recipient. We urge you to research this before purchasing and are happy to provide any necessary information, eg, weight. Please be aware that international delivery may be delayed by the processing at customs.
Please note that in accordance with New Zealand export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items and identify the order as dutiable ‘merchandise.’ We are also prohibited by law from labelling an order as a ‘gift’ for export purposes, even if a customer has placed the order with the intention of delivery to a gift recipient.

Orders placed on weekdays before 2 PM UTC/GMT + 12 hours will begin processing straight away and can be packed for delivery, however those that fall after 2 PM UTC/GMT + 12 hours will begin processing straight away but cannot be guaranteed for the immediate delivery.
Orders placed on Friday after 5 PM UTC/GMT + 12 hours will begin processing on the following Monday.
We will send a confirmation email with your tracking number, once your order has been successfully shipped.
